Wong Kar Wai Makes Leslie's Wish Come True
"Ashes of Time Redux" has been screening around the globe for the past year. Its last screening will be in Hong Kong starting on May 28th. Fifteen years ago when "Ashes of Time" was screening in the theaters, Leslie wished that the movie could be released worldwide including North America and Europe. Fifteen years later, director Wong Kar Wai made Leslie's wish come true by screening "Ashes of Time Redux" around the world. Two sets of limited edition postcards in red and orange will be released to go along with the screening in Hong Kong.

Fans Pay Tribute to Leslie Cheung
Flowers, photographs, messages with heartfelt words are left outside a hotel in Hong Kong by local and overseas fans of late Hong Kong pop star Leslie Cheung on the sixth anniversary of his death on April 1, 2009. Cheung jumped to death from the hotel six years ago at the age of 46.

Although Leslie Cheung passed away six years ago, it seems this late Hong Kong pop legend will never be forgotten.

Fans from all over the world held various memorial services to mark the sixth anniversary of the death of Leslie Cheung on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, fans from around the world came to Hong Kong's Mandarin Oriental Hotel where Cheung leapt to his death on April 1, 2003 after a hard battle with depression.

Outside the hotel, wreaths, heart-shaped flowers, photographs and heartfelt words were offered to commemorate this great entertainer. Cheung was considered a phenomenal Hong Kong performer and he captured the hearts of fans with his artistic talent and effortless charisma either on stage or on the big screen.

Fans have arranged many other activities to remember 'Gor Gor', Cantonese for "big brother", Cheung's nickname. They screened "Farewell My Concubine", the 1993 historical epic movie for which Cheung won most of the acclaims for his unparalleled acting as a Peking opera star.
