Fans Celebrated Leslie's Birthday


It would have been Leslie's 52nd birthday yesterday. Although he passed away 5 years ago, his fans still miss him. Leslie's previous manager Mrs. Chan Suk Fan organized a party to commemorate him. She had invited Jacky Cheung, Julian Cheung and The Grasshopper for a concert called "
Miss You Much Leslie" in Chongqing.

Yesterday, Leslie's HK fans also organized activities to celebrate his birthday. A few hundred fans were gathered on The Aveune of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui at 12 MD. Among the HK fans, there are fans from Beijing, Singapore, Japan and Korea. They had prepared a birthday cake, mooncakes and presents for Leslie. When it was 12 O'clock, they sang happy birthday to him in Chinese and in English.

Jacky Cheung to Perform in Leslie's Birthday Concert
It would have been Leslie Cheung's 52nd birthday on 12th. His previous manager Mrs. Chan Shuk Fun was organizing a charity concert to commemorate his 5th year death anniversary. The concert will be held in Chongqing Olympic Sport Centre which has 40,000 seats. The concert is called "Miss You Much Leslie."

The stage design and the lighting would be different from the last concert. This time the bridge would be a complete bridge, meaning there is contact with Leslie. New comers Dicky Cheung, Patrick Tam and William So use "Aforetime Love" as the theme. They will be singing Leslie's songs. The other guests include Deanie Yip, Julian Cheung, Joyce Cheng, Wang Hui, Winnie Hsin and The Grass Hoppers will also be performing. They want to spend the night with Leslie through his music.

Jacky Cheung is in charge of the artistic effects of the concert. He pays attention to every minor details. Mrs. Chan was hoping even if the fans can not make it to the concert, they can pay their respect to him at Po Foo Hill. Mrs. Chan reckoned this year's concert would be the last charity concert to commemorate Leslie's death. She has specially designed a recycle green bag for sale. The remaining proceed will go to charity. She is also putting together the April 1st , the 5th year anniversary "Miss You Much Leslie" into DVD, adding on a CD (limited to 2000 copies) as well as a little booklet. So
that Leslie's fan can keep as momentum.
