Although Leslie has left us for more than four years, he will always be remembered not only by his ardent fans but also his friends. The next day after Leslie's birthday, Chilam posted a photo that he took with Leslie and Jacky Cheung taken in August 2002. In addition, he wrote a birthday message for Leslie:

Yesterday was Leslie's birthday. I'd like to wish him a happy birthday. Hope he's happy no matter where he is! In fact, I always feel that he has never left us. I'm still playing his CD in my car, the TV is showing his movies, and I'm humming his songs......I really think he has never left since he is already living in the hearts of each one of us who loves him, forever in our hearts.
